Toft Animation Festival 2016

About the Festival

A long time ago, Cambridge held a number of Animation Festivals. The first was in 1967, then another in 1968. It was planned to be an annual event, but the 1969 event was cancelled as funding was pulled by the City Council. A "new" event was started in 1983 and a followup took place in 1985, but since then there has been no such festival.

Toft Animation Festival is intended to be the first of an annual event, showcasing local, national and international animation. This year, our first, we are planning on showing a range of animated films and shorts, from British sources.
